Astrive Student Loans Knowledge Base
Is Astrive a good company for student loans? I've doing research and Astrive students loans says that you can take out loans up to $40,000 a year and up to $130000 in your lifetime. It seems a lot more reasonable than other websites. Is it too good to be true? Is there some kind of catch or is it a good way to help me go to college?
If i fail a class, will my astrive student loan go into repayment? I have an astrive loan that requires that I remain a half time student or else the loan goes into repayment. However, I just failed one of my two classes, and I was wondering if this will disqualify me as a half time student and cause my loans to enter the repayment period. I have almost a 4.0 GPA.
What are some good companies to get private student loans? I am in the process of looking for a private student loan to help cover the cost of living and being a student. I'm probably going to apply for an Astrive Student Loan. Are there any other good companies where you don't need tons of credit? Or do you know anything about the Astrive loans? Thanks.
Bank of America and Astrive student loans related because of TERI? Okay, so I borrowed the maximum amount for the current fiscal year through astrive and can't borrow anymore until July 1st through them. They are managed by TERI or whatever. But I need money right now for living expenses etc. So I went and tried to get a loan with Bank Of America with their education maximizer student loan but I noticed it's through TERI too. And It got denied. If Astrive and Bank Of America both manage their loan programs with TERI did my BOA loan probably get denied because TERI is telling them I can't borrow anymore until the Next fiscal year (july 1st)? PS: please don't lecture me on the future burden of taking out private student loans. Im aware, but I financially don't have many options and will have to deal with the payments when they come in the future. Thanks. With all due respect Ellen, I'm well aware of what The differences are between federal and private student loans. I'm just inqurining to see if there's anyone out there that thinks maybe my recent loan app. got denied because TERI is the central destination or something for all apps. to get approved and if there's a limit with TERI then astrive or BOA can't approve the app. until the next fiscal year. If anyone knows for sure I appreciate.....
Astrive Student Loans - Contact info? Hi. Does anyone have contact information for Astrive?? I've tried going to their site but a pop up comes up saying, "The Astrive Student Loan Program is not accepting new student loan applications. We sincerely apologize for this necessary lending suspension." I'm not there for that! I need to talk to someone regarding a loan I have to pay back, and I don't know who to contact! If they want their money shouldn't they have some form of contact info on the site??

What enrollment dates should i have put on my Astrive Student Loan? I'm about to mail my astrive student loan but i'm wondering. What enrollment dates should I have put on there? I put for the entire school year becuase i'll be attending the fall and spring smesters. Or did they want only the fall semseter since that is what my acceptance letter says. However i will be using the money that i request for the entire year.
How do consolidate my student loans? I am considering some other loan products other than the ones through FAFSA (Stafford Sub and Unsub). I started to look at the Astrive student loans. I am concerned that anything other than what i can get through FAFSA is dangerous. What should I do?
Why am I having problems with Astrive student loans? Also known as Suntrust loans.? I have sent in my application, my promissory note, and all the other things I was supposed to send. But they keep telling me I haven't sent them the information. Then when I try and call the 800 number, they need to know my account number to talk to me. The only problem is I don't know where to find my account number. My cut off date for the loan is Nov. 12th. I just hope I can get the loan approved by then! If not, does anyone know what else I can do besides, 1)quit school or 2)take out a high interest credit card? I'm really freaking out right now that I won't have the money to finish school. Please someone give me some honest and true advise. Also I'm not approved for any stafford money or any other kind of federal loan.
Help!!! What's up with Astrive Student Loans?!?!? There are about 4 different websites for them, and each one you need a different sign-in... I don't understand why there are so many websites! I don't think they're phony, because my computer accepted the certificates on the website, and they've been verified. The one thing I noticed is that the banks that each website uses is different. Is that a problem? Should I report it to the credit beaureu? Help!! Thank you, but I know the difference between loans. It seems like no one is reading my question.
Should I take out an astrive student loan? I had fin aid from my school but I haven't been awarded any for this year. I pay out of state tuition and I don't want to leave the total burden of that on my parents. Plus, my rent went up for the year and my job just doesn't cover it.
Is astrive student loan still in operation? I made an application and got approved, but when I tried calling the 800 number to ask some questions the number is disconnected and now there is no way of reaching them. I don't even see there commercials anymore on TV. Are they in business still or did they go belly up?
Which is the best loan company? Astrive, Campus Door or Chase Student Loans? Which is the easiest to get approved? I was approved for the last 3 years with Astrive, but their website has been down and Campus Door and Chase both put my max. loan amount for my school at $10,000 less than Astrive. Please, don't waste your time answering with spam messages with links to websites or email addresses. I'm only looking at these 3 loan companies.
Astrive student loan- loan benefits? Hi, I was on the AES website looking at the details for one of my astrive student loans. This one was funded by Suntrust bank. And in the details section there is something that says loan benefits- rebate, status- pending. What does this mean?
Are there any other student loan lenders like Astrive? My hubby is in school full time and he gets his student loans for tuition and such through Sallie Mae but Astrive is a lender for other expenses while you are in school such as rent and bills. The money he gets through Astrive comes directly to us for our use. Anyway, Astrive is not giving loans at this time and we really need that money. Are there any other lenders out there like this? No, he tried getting it through Sallie Mae but they only give the personal student loans to people in junior college.
Are there any direct to consumer loans available? I have gotten an Astrive Student Loan in the past but they are no longer providing aid. I was wondering if there are any similar loans still available. If not, are there a private student loan that is not effected by other aid received.
Private student loans and buying a car? My boyfriend took out an Astrive student loan for $5000 dollars and bought a car with it. I want to do something similar, by paying off the rest of my car (about $4000) and trading it in and taking out another 4-5 thousand to get a new car. I am commuting to school next year, and I'm driving a truck right now. I really need a more economic car or I'm not going to make it. Any suggestions for a company I can go with to get a student loan for this kind of thing, other than Astrive? Well, I'm saving 15 grand by living off campus, so I see taking out the loan to get a car as saving money. Having trouble finding a job means I wouldn't be able to make monthly payments for a car, so this is kind of my only option. My real question is what loan companies send the check to you instead of your school... I've already maxed out my federal loans so private funding is all I can get anyway. Ummm, yeah, I got that. I was hoping to get more than three so I could look around a little more. In case you didn't see how the other two responses weren't exactly helpful. By the way, it's people like you that end up dying alone because they have no friends, because they are condescending jerks. I really don't know what else you suggest I do. Unless you think I should walk the 69 miles to school from my house or if YOU want to give me a job since no one else is. Sometimes people have nowhere else to go and this is all they can do. If I just get a car and try to make payments on it, while paying off my truck, I'll just get in worse debt. If I keep driving my truck, I won't make it to school either because right now it costs about 50 bucks to make it. At least this way I have four years to be able to get a job that can make the payments for the loan.
Confused about astrive student loan??? Okay, I sent my signed credit agreement and my co-signer's proof of income in to Astrive the other day. The loan is for $17,000 for the quarter I'm about finish up and the one I'm starting next month. I'm using the money to pay off some bills, acquire a new car and support myself while finishing up the degree. The loan was originally for $6,000. But they told me if I wanted to change the amount to just enter a new amount and initialize th change. So I changed it to 17,000 and initialized it. I'm confused really about the disbursement. Everyone on Yahoo questions says it will be divided up. But Astrive told me I will get the whole loan at once. Can anyone clarify this for me? It's killing me not knowing how to plan out how I manage the funds. Thanks, again. Thx podcast
Consolidate student loans, Astrive problems, best private loans? My husband and I took out Astrive loans in Autumn of 2007 to help pay for school (when we were just starting out and had no credit yet). They each had a mediocre rate, and we deferred payments until January 2010 (6 months after our expected graduation). For awhile, we were receiving letters upon letters regarding the status of our student loans (from AES), however we have ceased to receive them as of last summer. I wasn't worried really, I knew when I had to pay back my loan, what the rate was, etc. Now, however, we have both decided to extend our educations to obtain more advanced degrees. I decided the best option would be to take out a new student loan (with a lower rate, now that I have built my credit up strong) to pay off both of our Astrive loans and help pay for the additional costs of our extended education. I figure it is best to consolidate everything into one student loan and defer payments until January, 2011 (six months after my new graduation date). I was surprised when I went to the Astrive website however, to find that they no longer offer student loans due to the current economic crisis, and most of the links on their website are broken. I can not seem to access our Astrive accounts to make modifications or view loan info. Does anyone know how to do this? Also, I'm looking for recommendations regarding a new private student loan to pay off the costs of our old loans and additional education expenses. Who has the lowest rates? Deferment, etc? All advice is appreciated. Some background info: Currently have 11,000 in student loans, expect I will need an additional 10,000 in loans summing to a total of a 21,000 loan I am looking for. I have a credit rating of between 750-800 and can easily get a co-signer. Thank you in advance to all who reply.
