Do I qualify for FAFSA? I've included what they gave me?

1. Yes If they give you a pin number you are qualified. Long story short, they are telling you that you may be eligible for grants you will not have to pay back.
2. if your EFC=0 it means that your family isnt expected to pay for any of your college tution which means that schools can give you that much more money. so yes i believe you qualify.Everyone qualifies!!
3. No, it does not say you qualify for loans. You will only qualify for financial aid (loans, grants, work study) if you do everything they are telling you to do (resolve the problems listed) AND prove that all the information on your fafsa was correct. So... this is what you need to do now. 1. Apparently you are male and have not registered with selective service yet. You must do this if you are going to get aid. Follow the steps they list to clear this problem. 2. Apparently you did not answer the question (about your income) and they assumed you did not file a tax return based on this. Did you work at all in 2008? If so, you need to put the income amounts on this section (people get this error message when they leave this section blank). There is a question about weather you are going to file a tax return or ARE NOT going to file a tax return. They assumed you were not, but if this is incorrect, you need to fix it. Also if you had NO income, put a zero here. Don't not leave it blank on the fafsa. Blanks on questions requiring income increase your chanced of being selected for verification. 3. Likely because of all the missing info and blanks, you have been selected for VERIFICATION. Meaning you are going to have to PROVE the info you put on the fafsa is correct. You will have to turn in your and your parents income tax returns (Or if you did not file a tax return, turn in other documentation that proved how you and your family survived with no income for the year). The school will tell you EXACTLY what to turn in. Often they give you worksheets to complete and return. Once you finish the verification process, the school will either confirm everything is correct on your fafsa and issue you an award letter, or recalculate your EFC and then issue you an award letter. The award letter tells you exactly how much aid you will be getting and how much. As it stands right now, you will qualify for both loans and grants, but again, that could change if the info is incomplete or wrong. Hope this helps... good luck.
4. Yes. You have not only qualified for loans, but also for a Pell Grant. Since your EFC is zero, your qualify for the maximum amount in federal aid. This does NOT mean that you will not have to pay for any of your education. The pell grant will give you about $5000 total for the 2009/2010 school year. Additionally, you might receive other grants that don't have to be paid back. You will also qualify for federal loans. The borrowing limit for a stafford loan is around $5500 but you may be offered other need-based loans as well. If you are going to a fairly inexpensive school, then most of your expenses will probably be met with federal aid. If you are going to a very expensive school, then you'll need to finance the rest of the cost yourself even though your EFC is zero.
