Private College Student Loan

Anyone Sponosor My Education?

Active duty United States Marine with six months to graduating with a Masters, and looking at following on with a PHD in Human Services. I absolutely cannot afford the burden of taking on more loans for post graduate work on military pay, and have had absolutely no luck in finding stipends, grants, or scholarships that I qualify for. I am extremely worried about accruing anymore debt even if I should decide to get out of the Marine Corps... the Human Services field and law enforcement in general is not a place you become rich. The "free ride" the military promises through college expenses is a myth. Here are my educational stats: B.S. GPA - 3.56 - Criminal Justice Administration M.S. GPA - 3.78 - Administration of Justice & Security I'm not asking for a handout. I'm willing to center my dissertation topic on an area of original research in the human services field on behalf of my sponsor in exchange for sponsorship. If anyone has any suggestions, I'm at the end of my rope.

  1. no,you suck.
  2. I feel for you, but I too will be a poor graduate student looking for funding within the next year. Depending on what school you go to, you might be able to score a research job to help pay for your education. They are usually a tremendous amount of work for not a lot of pay, but some schools will help buffer the cost of tutition by paying part or all of it. I wish you the best of luck and in the meantime, keep applying for those grants and scholarships. God bless.
  3. I can't help you but, I wish you luck! I just wanted to tell you from my heart how much I appreciate your military service. I am disappointed that someone that is willing to fight for our freedom is having so much trouble paying for school. I really hope and pray that you get the help that you so obviously deserve. Once again I really want to give you my thanks and admiration.
  4. The military has a program called "Troops to Teachers" and probably has some other programs also. Talk to them. also-- many employers offer tuition reimbursement programs. Or, you could seek employment at a college or university and then you usually get free tuition as part of your benefits.
