Private College Student Loan

Why do you think public schools are free until 12th grade?

I think it's because they are institutions of conformity/day care centers. To keep you busy and out of trouble while our parents work to pay off their 10 bills because they weren't fortunate enought to get a nice education to start with. After you're out of high school, poorly educated, and you're 18, schools only want your money. So you take out that loan, and that part time job to pay for school, welcoming you to the looping paradox that is this capitalistic American dream. Everything that happens while this goes on, is your life passing you by. I have nothing against knowledge and educators. Knowledge IS power. But turning your eyes the other way from what's really going on can only take you so far. Pardon my rambling on I'm just tired. What do you think?

Public Comments

  1. well.. actually.. i go to a public school (and all the public high schools in my area do this as well) they charge $3.00 each year to have classes at all.. not to mention all of the extra fees for buying locks from the school and buying school supplies in general that are not provided by the district due to budget cuts. But whatever, I'm not going to complain. Tuition at private schools are much more.
  2. Public school is a joke, all it does is breed hatred, and ignorance.
  3. they are not free, School taxes, taxes, taxes pay for them, time to reform
  4. Who the hell said they were free? What is even more annoying is that my kid is going to be homeschooled and I still have to pay through the nose.
  5. Joder, you said it all! He he...I love it. Maybe when Bush promised "no child left behind" he was really referring to the impending credit debt from school loans. By the way, you forgot that F word that goes just right with a good rant. ;-)
