Does anyone actually believe that Obama's so called "Stimulus Plan" is focused on the economy and jobs?

Here are a few juicy bits from the plan that Obama says is going to save us all and contains NO EARMARKS...which is a LIE! You would have to be an absolute BRAIN DONOR in order to believe that this has anything to do with creating jobs! Now you may agree with some of these programs and even like some of them...but ask yourself...does this help Bob who just got laid off from his job at a factory making car parts? These are only a small sample of the MANY wasteful Pork projects that make up the bulck of this giant wast of taxpayer money that is designed to cripple our economy! In addition, Obama signed an executive order mandating that ALL contracts associated with any constrution projects that come from this plan, must only be with Unionized companies...but the media is keeping a lid on that! $44 million for construction, repair and improvements at US Department of Agriculture facilities $245 million for maintaining and modernizing the IT system of the Farm Service Agency $1 billion for "Periodic Censuses and Programs" $100 million for "Scientific and Technical Research and Services" at the National Institute of Standards And Technology $400 million for "habitat restoration and mitigation activities" at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration $140 million for "climate data modeling" $250 million for "Mississippi River and Tributaries" $2 billion for development of advanced batteries $1 billion for expenses necessary for advanced battery manufacturing $1 billion for the Advanced Battery Loan Guarantee Program $200 million to revitalize the National Mall in Washington, D.C. $800 million for Superfund programs $50 million in grants to fund "arts projects and activities which preserve jobs in the non-profit arts sector threatened by declines in philanthropic and other support during the current economic downturn" through the National Endowment for the Arts $500 million for "Buildlings and Facilties" at the National Institutes of Health in suburban Washington, D.C. $1 billion for Head Start programs $1.1 billion for Early Head Start programs $100 million for Social Security research programs $200 million for "Aging Services Programs" $2 billion for "Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology" $2.3 billion for the Centers for Disease Control for a variety of programs $13.6 billion for Individuals with Disabilities Education Act $300 million for Amtrak capital needs Edit: G: Let me do some basic math for you...since you OBVIOUSLY never thought to do it yourself. Obama's stimulus according to him is supposed to "Create or Save" 3 to 4 million jobs. OK, first off...he's lying..but let's set that aside. How can one quantify a "Saved" job? You can't meaning, even if unemployment goes to 30%...Obama can claim...and you would likely believe him that he "Saved" 4 million jobs. But I will even set that aside for a moment and let's deal with the straight math. Let's say the plan works perfectly and Obama's created 4 million jobs that we spent $790 BILLION DOLLARS to create. $790 BILLION DOLLARS divided by 4 million jobs = $197,500.00 That means that each of those "Sweet Government Jobs" that you love so much cost the US Taxpayer (That would be me) $197,500.00 EACH to "Create" and that is if Obama's plan works absolutely flawlessly and does the absolute MAXIMUM that Obama predicts. But don't forget, Joe Biden even says this plan has a 30% chance of failure and guess what...MOST ECONOMISTS AREN'T EVEN THAT OPTOMISTIC! Finally, can you tell me the last time Amtrack actually made a profit? I'll give you a hint...Woodstock hadn't happened yet! In fact...the Beatles hadn't come to America yet either! Edit 2: G: 1. Those agreements require contractors to negotiate with union officials, recognize union wages and benefits and generally abide by collective-bargaining agreements. It's not a "Signing order"...it's an Executive Order...Big Difference! You really should learn what these things are and what wieght they carry before you decide to debate me on them and their purpose.

3. According to polls yesterday, 62% of Americans believe he is doing a good job, while most Americans believe the GOP is doing everything they can to make him fail, and many opined that they would hold the GOP accountable at the Polls in 2010 and 2012 for putting Party before Country.
4. All I know is that he's spending money on Americans. It's a good place to start since the last President spent over a trillion on Iraqi welfare.
5. It is just another con job by the biggest con artist of the century. Capitalism is a self repairing system given time- it would have recovered on its own. He should know that if he has half a brain so this is just a way to get his agenda moving in the direction he wants deceptively. I predict it will actually make things worse as it will backfire and we will be left in worse shape in a few years. I truly hope that enough of the American public see's him for who he really is and he does not get re-elected. The damage he has created in just 3 weeks has been significant, think of in 4 years how much more he will have done.
