Private College Student Loan

When do the checks go out for Stafford and Direct loans (maybe those are the same thing)?

I know it's towards the end of the summer/beginning of fall semester, but my financial aid summary only mentioned when grants would be disbursed, not loans, so I'm kind of worried. Thanks.

1. Your best bet is ask your Finacial aid office or student accounting,,,, which ever one your school has... it's usually different for each school
2. this most likely means that your loans have not came in yet. how long ago did you fill out the paper work? also, you did not mention which semester you are getting aid for. if you are talking about fall, then keep on waitin'. fall aid won't be dished out until a week before classes start....aug or sept. if you are taking summer classes and you are expecting aid ASAP, then it might take a few more weeks. I've had schools be VERY quick about it, and also schools take well over a month once the checks were sent to them. every fin aid dept. is different.
