Private College Student Loan

Please Help!! Education Loan & loans from Malaysia??

I am looking for a loan to finish my schooling at Temple University. As I was looking I came across this guy who said he would give me a loan from Malaysia!!! I think it is too good to be true and i did a little research and I found nothing. Is this legal? He said his name is Fajar Hakim and he said he would give me a $5000 loan in I send him $450 for "transfer charges" I've read that he has done this with other people but I dont know of any success stories. I am in dire need of a loan so if anyone has any advice I would really appreciate it. P.S. I've already tried to get a loan on my own(turned down for not having enough credit) and I dont have a co-signer.

  1. Don't send him any money, you will never see your loan money. If he wanted to loan you the $5000 and was going to charge $450 for transfer fee's it would be legit if he sent you $4550. Be careful, often this scam is used not only to get your money, but to sell your identification. You did not indicate your major or how many hours you need to complete or if you are working or if you are living at home, or how you have paid for your education up to this point. So advice is somewhat limited. Your best bet is to contact financial aid at Temple University. Speak to someone that has been there for awhile, not just the student workers. If you are in your senior year, you may consider working somewhere in your field, and see if they have an education reimbursement program. I wish you the best.
