Private College Student Loan

Anyone know anything about Sallie Mae student loans?

I just filled out an application with Sallie Mae. I have one charge off on my credit in the amount of $300, but my cosigner has good credit.. his score is about 703. Im just nervous I won't get the loan what do you think my chances are?

1. Probably pretty good as the cosigner has a good credit score.
2. a loan size would have helped. a charge off is usually ok, and if you have a co-signer with a 700+ credit score, you'll definately get A loan...if they'll give you as much money as you requested, that would be debatable.
3. They do ont do a credit check fro student loan. If you are in school, never defaulted on a prior student loan, and you apply for the loan, they will give it to you.
4. I heard that they aren't writing any more student loans. But if they are, you have nothing to worry about since you have a cosigner. EDIT: Ah, they are still writing initial loans, but are no longer doing consolidations. And FYI, Sallie Mae has had a lot of trouble for unethical practices. You should Google them for more information. Why not go through Direct? They are always the best option.
5. since you have a cosigner that has credit, i think you will get so you don't have to worry. i applied and i didn't get it because i was underage with a cosigner that was not creditworthy. If your cosigner has good credit and is will to vouch for you, then you have nothing to worry about.
