Sallie Mae Student Loans?

I won't have to start paying my loans until I graduate, but I happen to have conscription waiting for me after as well. Can I delay my Loan payments due to military service if I took out a private loan?

1. You can apply for a deferment on your loans for various reasons. I am sure if you talk with one of the loan advisers, they can let you know exactly what you can do. You can also have your payments based on what you make a month. At one point, I was only paying them $37 a month! And mine was through Sallie Mae as well. As long as you either defer payment, or have the amount you pay a month set as low as possible, you should be okay. Just make the payments on time! You don't want to fall behind. It can get very ugly!
