Private College Student Loan

If I have ALL of my college payed for. Can i get a student loan to buy a car?

I am 17 years old and I live in NC. I am going to Southeastern Seminary College and they do not accept federal financial aid. I have scholarships to pay for everything including tuition and room and board. I have no cosigner. Can i get a Stafford loan to pay for a car, a private student loan for a car, or what? I am desperate and need your help. Thanks for the help God Bless

1. A Stafford loan is federal financial aid. So no, you can't get it to attend that school.. even for a car. (not that you could anyway). Chances are if the federal government won't recognize that seminary school as a real school no private lender will approve it for a private student loan either. If I were you, I'd find a real school. The federal government keeps a very extensive list of all the schools they deem as appropriate for federal funds. I just don't want you to waste all that time and have it not count for anything.... even if your first year is free.
2. I agree with the person below. In any case, no school allows you to use a student loan for a car- they have car loans designed for that. Stafford loans go directly to your school for tuition purposes only- its from the federal government for student tuition only. If your under 18 you wont qualify for a car loan, nor will you qualify once you are 18 without a large down payment and a parent co-signer given the limited to no established credit.
