question about my Federal Direct Loan for college?

I have a direct federal student loan. I just graduated with a two year degree, and my payments were scheduled to begin 6 months after graduation. Problem is that I decided to enroll for two more years, and have drawn additional loans from direct loans. Do I need to do anything to notify direct loans, or is it automatically defered until I graduate with my 4 year degree? Thank you

1. Good question. I would recommend calling the processor just to make sure they have you in the database correctly. It should be automatic since you're staying with the same lender, but it's better to waste an hour on the phone than to have credit problems because you didn't.
