Will a hospital help to pay for your nursing education and degree if so How?
My daughter is interested in becoming a nurse. Will hospitals pay or help to pay for her education if she makes a commitment to work for them for so many years after graduating? If so, when and how do you approach a hospital about doing this? Do they pay the total tuition, or just the amount in outstanding loans? I really don't know the process, but would love for my daughter to get some help with her tuition. She is a junior in HS now, and will be going the the VoTech center her Senior year to get a CNA certificate. Thanks

- Probably not, I have never heard of this happening. Nursing programs aren't that expensive though.
- Sometimes hospitals will pay some of the educational costs of their employees. The link below is an example of a hospital that gives scholarships to LPNs who want to become RNs. Check the web sites of hospitals in your are for their policies. The armed forces, via ROTC scholarships, may pay full tuition for a nurse who is willing to serve in the military afterwards. Ask her to check with her guidance counselor about financial aid options.
