Private College Student Loan

How to arrange money for my college fees?

Hi i am a student from india doing my 3rd year BE. my college fees is about 1.28L per year and i have taken a education loan for about 1.00L per year based on the salary of my mother. Every year before taking the loan i have to pay a simple interest of about 12% per annum for the amount taken plus the Rs 28000/- the difference amount. Till now there was no problem as i arranged for the interest by doing a part time job at my dad's workshop and my mother arranged for the fees. ( Dad and mom have separated) but now my mom suddenly says that she cannot pay the fees and is least bothered about my career. What shall i do now, i cannot waste a year to arrange for the fees as it just one ahead to complete my course and i do not want any bad remarks on the mark sheet. is it better to go for a call centre job in the night and cope up with studies ( earnings in my dad's workshop is about 20000 per year only) and if so will a 3rd year BE guy preffered in a call centre. Suggestions are muchappreciatedd

  1. you will have to put your status of being a student of BE third year at abeyance in the interest of continuance of your study for some time till completion of your study. Hence , I will like to advise you to do a part time job , whatever it might be ignoring the fact whether it matches to your BE third year status or not,at least to fulfil your educational fees requirement. that is the only way available with you, I think.
  2. Hi, Doing a BE is not a easy joke. Talk to your mother about her problems. Get some aid from sponsors. you can do project works based on your studies that would give you stipend as well as acquaintance with people who are ready to help. Maybe you can end in a neat job Don't give up hope. You can talk to the bank officials about your credentials and ask for time to pay the interest after you complete your studies. in this scenario this is possible.
  3. How much your dad is paying for your expenses?I think your father is wealthy enough to pay your expenses.Legally divorce parents should pay for their children expenses. You can approach a lawyer and get a consultation about the expenses.Even you can file a case against your parents.Court proceedings will cost them a lot of money, instead they can pay your fees.Explain the legal issues and ask your parents to pay the fees to avoid court procedures.
