Private College Student Loan

Why does the apartment complex I'm applying for say they can't accept full time students ?

I've been working at my current job since December 2008 as a full time worker..I became a student at a college with a nationwide campus given at the Military education center last March..(There version of full time is 2 classes)..There are no dorms offered or anything, and my college is pretty much for adult education at night time..(I'm 19)..The apartment complex I'm looking at says I can't be a full time student...Since I've been in school I have never dropped below 40 hours at work..I'm afraid I might not get the apartment because when she sees my student loans ($1800.00 total) on my report they might deny me..is there a way to get around this ?

  1. Yeah, apply somewhere else. At 19 you will have a hard time finding anyone to take you, you just need to keep trying until you do.
  2. If you are the sole renter and the lease has a clause for summary eviction if you violate this term, then it is possible the landlord will rent to you. The key, I feel, is to be up front with the landlord. I imagine the landlord's concern is a party every weekend. Or a boyfriend who is permanently staying your apartment. The key seems to be that you are not a traditional college student since you are not socializing inside a college campus.
