Sallie Mae Student Loans in the US?
Can someone provide some data on the US's student loan balance? I'm looking for the total amount of US student loans outstanding in the US. I found this article but I am looking for an official site like nber.org or census.gov. Something with similar credibility to the sites I just gave. http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSTRE60K3VD20100121

- Don't get a student loan, in fact don't even go to collage. You should go live in the mountains for the rest of your live and wrestle Grizzly Bears so you can eat them for sustenance; and use their hides to build a house for yourself. And if you're a man, you could grow a long beard and use it as an extra limb to help you climb trees. That way, you'll be a great success and people will revere you.
- What do you mean by data on the US's student loan balance? Like the average amount students owe? I think the average amount owed at graduation for people who went to 4 yr schools is a bit over $20,000, varies depending on whether or not the school was private or public. Or do you want to look at your own student loan balance and SallieMae is your lender? If thats the case, go to http://www.salliemae.com/ and register, you can see all your loan information including balances on the website.
