Where can i find a good private student loan? What are your experiences with private loans?
I want to attend Seattle community college but they do not accept federal loans so i am looking at private loans. I don't have good credit but I also don't have bad credit. I have about 10,000 in collections. I want to find a loan that I can wait till I'm out of school then i can start paying on. Please let me know any experiences you have had with private loans also. Thanks

- See if this helps. http://www.loanforbadcredits.com/ Thanks.
- There are no such thing as "good" private loans. There are many reasons why a school doesn't have the privilege to get federal loans and not a single on of them is in your favor trust me. I always love the way they word it... "the school doesn't accept federal loans".... lol This is an inaccurate and another way of saying, "the federal government has taken away our privilege of the school getting federal funding". They prob were defrauding students or their default rate got way too high. It's time to find a better school. One that does federal student loans. Without a cosigner with awesome credit, a long term stable employment history and a high income, you won't get approved for the sub-prime private student loans.
- I know that you are asking about private loans but my husband is a senior citizen college student here in the midwest and we have had to learn how to find extra money to handle are bills and his education. There are so many legal ways to fund your college degree. Here is a little information that I hope will benefit a lot of yahoo answers readers. First of all, there are companies, banks, clubs, religious organizations and a host of other groups that will donate money to deserving students if you are willing to spend a lot of time searching you will find all sorts of resources that you did not expect. In my experiences you will generally purchase them new from places like: www.amazon.com www.albiris.com www.half.com etc. Here is a list of grants, scholarships, fellowships and loans books: 1.) The Everything Paying For College Book: Grants, Loans, Scholarships, And Financial Aid -- All You Need To Fund Higher Education (Everything: School and Careers) (Paperback) 2.) Scholarship Scouting report: An insiders Guide by Ben Kaplan 3.) How to write a winning scholarship essay (30 essays) by Ben Tanabe 4.) The college Blue Book (includes 4 large volumes and these books are so expensive that you will have to use it in your local library.) Maybe you should gather a few friends to help each other. One of you might see something that the others missed. Last, if the book's author makes it seem that the money is easy to get turn that book down. If you find a site that offers to help you to get them, shame on you. You can just as well find the info and save the money for a new desk to take to your new school. Good luck all.
