Private College Student Loan

Students are you happy now that your voted for Obama? Do you like his cuts to your future education funds?

Starting in October of 2011 Obama has cut the Pell Grant fund (100 Billion). This means college students will only get one Pell Grant per year. Starting in July the most money from the grant you could get would be $845. In addition the requirements to get Pell Grants for professional students were tightened/reduced. This means that if you’re planning on going to med school, law school, or those training to be nurses are professional you better get ready to finance that yourself or pay with loans. On top of this in 2014 (Election Year) the Federal Perkins Loan Program will expire. July 1, 2011 The SEOG and LEAP grants (supplemental money for “high-need” students, High-need students are students whose expected family contribution (EFC) is “0") will be eliminated.

  1. Yes, because under the republicans, it would have been cut to nothing. That's alright we'll get it back once we get out of the debt caused by the republican control of the house, senate and white house. Oh yeah, and let's not forget to give more tax breaks to millionaires.
  2. The only thing I learned in college was how to drink excessively. I had to graduate to get become intelligent. The places are nothing but sespools of liberal hypocrisy and stupidity at the doctoral level.
  3. Congress controls the budget, not the president. If the funds were cut, they were cut by Congress. The current batch of Republicans in Congress wants to cut student aid much much further.
  4. When compared to the Republican plan to eliminate the Department of Education and ALL Grants and Loans funded by the federal government I think they are the better choice.
  5. I'm sorry to the above answers. I didn't know there was a difference between republicans and democrats. There's different species of leeches, but they all suck your blood.
