Paying off student loan with Citibank?

I have a small student loan with Citibank that I have now paid off. How do I get it to close to where I'm still not paying them interest or fees? I'm sorry, but I'm new to this and admit to my own naivety. Google was of no help in answering this question and I am truly embarrassed to be even asking such a seemingly obvious financial literacy question. Thanks for any help!
