citibank student loans - past due semester?

i'm looking to take out a private loan for my spring semester of 2011. i thought i had taken out a loan to pay for college but something happened during the process. i'm not sure what but i know that i'm now straight out of luck and need to take out a loan so i can get the hold lifted off of my school registration and start registering for classes. do i have to have a cosignor for citibank and wells fargo? and do they both cover past due semesters? if not, is there any banks that do student loans that accrue no interest during the school year and do cover past due semesters? thank you.

1. I know of no student loans that will cover past semesters. The only loans that you can use for this are private, usually secured (needs collateral) loans, such as home equity loans or etc. But you should talk to your bank. Actually, talk to a credit union first. Their loans can sometimes be a bit less harsh re: terms. If you don't have collateral, and you learn that you'll need it, then you may need to get your parents involved.
