Can medical debt defaulting mean the government can take away grants and loans for college?

I'm being threatened with court over medical debt, and I'm too broke to pay anything on it right now. I'm also planning to start college this fall and wondered if this could mean the government can take away my aid?

1. They will likely garnish the money from your bank accounts and any wages you make. If you have a financial aid refund that gets deposited into your account they will take that as well.
