Private College Student Loan

Chase Private Student Loan question...

I applied for a Chase private student loan about a week ago and I have had no update aside from that they recieved my documents and are in the middle of processing...when should I hear something by? Has anyone else been in this situation and what was the outcome?

1. It might take them a while to process your application. There's really not a time frame for processing the application because they have to do a credit check, send the notification to the school, and wait for the school to return the certification. The longest thing about the process is the school certification. A credit check can be completed in a day or two. You should contact the loan originator to check the status. They would know approx how long it takes for your school to usually send the certification back, and also tell you if it's taking a while due to missing information, or maybe that you need a cosigner.
