How can I get a private student loan ?
I have already tried with Sallie Mae and Chase bank and they didn't approve me. I dunno why, ecause my mom and I have good credit. We only make like 25000 a year or maybe a little more or less. My mom was my cosigner and the other person that I knew could help me get this because he earns good and has good credit doesnt want to be my cosigner. I need to borrow $21089. What companies are good for this? I really need the loan and I really wanna go to this school next month. If chase and Sallie Mae didn't accept me, should I expect the same response from other places? why can't I be my own cosigner r something? I'm not planning to rip off any company, I will be way more than happy to pay them back after I complete my education which is really important ffor me

- In today's economy it is really hard to be approved for a private student loan. Many lenders have tightened up their eligibility requirements, while many others have got out of the business entirely. Eligibility guidelines vary from lender to lenders, so just because one denied you does not mean that all will deny you. You will just have to keep trying different lenders until you (hopefully) find one that will approve you. Have you applied for the federal student loans? They require no credit check or cosigner, low to no up-front fees, and the interest rate is fixed. If you haven't yet you should check out this option. If you complete the application on line at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov you should find out within a few weeks about your eligibility.
- that sucks, I thought the government gave student loans to anyone who applied. You should apply for every grant you can find also. there should be some that are designed for low income minorities and you don't have to pay them back. If I was rich I would just pay your tuition like Charles Barkely did for this guy. http://deadspin.com/5027743/charles-barkley-pays-busboys-tuition-to-temple I would watch out for people like the guys above me. Don't give up. (((((((((((((((princess)))))))))))))))))))))
