Who will pay for all the things he has promised the Young Americans in college with grants loans etc etc ?

8. The taxpayers which are mainly middle class. If Obama is elected there will be no middle class left in America in 4 years. Poor people don't pay taxes and the rich don't miss them and find loopholes. That leaves the hard working American and the small businessman to foot the bill for these wasteful programs. I paid my way through 3 years of college by working from my 16th birthday and borrowed the 4th year and have paid back every cent. That's what kids of today should do too. Why should I pay for someone's education through higher taxes?

11. of course it will be the taxpayers. of all things I don't mind paying for education and veterans benefits. education is our best asset for the future and we owe our freedom and comforts to the our veterans. Vote Democratic 2008! I am the main bread winner in my home my husband is blind. We are far from middle class just struggle to make ends meet. Our daughter graduated with a BS in nursing and has student loan debt we have student loan debt but we don't expect anybody to pay for it. She applies for any program that might help with her loans but hasn't qualified for any so we trudge on making those student loan payments. She works in one of those hospitals in downtown San Antonio that qualifies for a grant repayment. She applied was denied because she is part time 36 hours scheduled ha she works at least 45 hours a week. The national program awards 800 grants to help with nursing student loan repayment if you work at one of those disproportional hospitals for 2 years there were over 8,000 applications. So if Senator Obama can help hard working Americans further their education he has my vote.
12. Nobody will pay for this since Obama won't do anything if he's elected president. He just wants to be president. Don't fall for his promises. He's just saying that to get elected.
13. Well, who is this "he"? I'm just kidding I know exactly who you are talking about. There is a such thing was reallocating spending. There is a such thing as cutting back on ear mark spending and creating more transperancy. There is a such thing as making the best investment possible. If you invest in the American people, specifically their education, then more wealth can be generate within the population. If businesses didn't have incentives for sending jobs over sears and across borders, more wealth WOULD be generate within our population. I get tired of calling an American company only to have my call redirected to some place where I hardly understand the person on the other end. No offense to people whose first language isn't English, but in order to communicate an idea that would normally take 10 seconds, there is about a minimum of 2 minutes that is spent on the idea.
14. Come on.. Obama explains this time and time again. He's going to roll back the bush tax cuts on the wealthiest 1% of Americans, who didn't need it in the first place.

But I would rather my taxes be spent for this type of thing, which will make our country stronger, than for a war in a country that means nothing to us, and will never repay the debt. Just think, how many students could the money spent in Iraq send through college. Accountin.... If salaries are the major portion of the military budget, why have we not spent billions before? My family is a military family, they are NOT getting this money as salary, and if you think they are, you need help.

And after we pay for these nicey nice programs we won't have the money to pay for our own kids, unless they take soo much we become below the poverty level. Then instead of us taking care of ourselves, we too can be dependent on the Government. We still pay salaries no matter if we are at war. Salaries are the largest part of any local budget. Including further education for our men and woman of the services. Many of whom enlisted to have that right. And healthcare that they deserve because they have a job. How about we turn off Obama's global poverty act that is 845 billion MORE than we pay now. That is for the CORRUPT UN to hand out, where it doesn't even touch the poverty, it fills corrupt governments pockets in other countries, if it gets that far. How about we ask Clinton and Obama to stop filling legislation with pork-barrel projects? 531 million to NY and 300 million to Illinois.
