Private College Student Loan

Where can I find College Grants?

I am currently looking for a college grant or loan. I would really like to find a grant though. I need it for this spring. I am trying to find a legit place that wont bull*** you around about getting a loan or grant.. And somewhere where perfact credit isn't a must? If anyone knows of such a place please let me know!

  1. Call your local Army/Navy/Air Force recruiter and ask about the GI Bill: that's how I got my degree.
  2. have you tried fafsa yet?
  3. In every search engine in the internet...
  4. I agree with E Man. Also, I said it once I will say it again. "Get Free Cash For College 2007" is a good read. There are over a thousand scholarships in this book.
  5. Ask the college you are planning to attend about their financial aid, scholarships, grants and loans. All colleges have a financial aid representative that can set up an appointment with you, and go over all of your options. That's what I had to do, and it paid off. I now have my degree, and am paying low interest on my loans. The grants I didn't have to pay back. Good luck!
  6. Check out Federal Student Aid Web Site or FAFSA http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/ I suggest you explore all federal funding and grant options at the Federal Student Aid website http://federalstudentaid.ed.gov/ You may also want to read the Handbook of the Pell Grant -- this is an 86 page document that contains everything about the grant http://ifap.ed.gov/sfahandbooks/attachments/0203Vo3MasterFile.pdf Or you can call the Federal Student Aid Information Center http://www.ed.gov/programs/fpg/gtepfpg.pdf at 1-800-433-3243 and ask them if there are any programs for women of your age Aside from FAFSA http://www.fafsa.ed.gov and Pell Grant http://www.ed.gov/programs/fpg/index.html , you may want to explore private foundation grants Also check out Fastweb http://www.fastweb.com For private grants, you may want to check the Foundation Center's Foundation Grants for Individuals Online http://gtionline.fdncenter.org . It's a subscription based website ($9.95 per month) and their opening blurb says that the database is ideal for "students, artists, academic researchers, libraries and financial aid offices." You may be able to find grants from private foundations.
